She was predeceased by: her parents, Glenola L. Barnes and Mary Barnes (Gallagher); and her sister-in-law Connie Barnes. She is survived by: her children, Dede Amburgey (Ellis) of Columbia City, Jody Pittenger (Mandi) of Fort Wayne, Timothy Pittenger (Sheila) of Columbia City and Lance Pittenger (Kristi Mader) of Fort Wayne; and her brothers, Larry Barnes of Columbus and Michael Barnes (Carol) of Fort Wayne. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Smith & Sons Funeral Home (207 N Main St, Columbia City, IN 46725). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 8:00 PM at the same location.
