He is survived by: his children, Liz Nagel (Norb), Joseph Kessler Jr. and Phillip Kessler (Donna); and his grandchildren, Tricia Hook (Sarah), Joseph William Kessler III, Zach Nagel (Kathryn) and Lauren Perez (Alfredo).

Memorials may be made to John Chapman's Kiwanis Club or Parkview Hospice.
