He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose McGill Jr. and Viola T. McGill; and his brothers, Robert, Jack and Henry.

He is survived by: his wife Erlinda; his children, Jose (Joy), Diana (Scott) and John; and his granddaughters, Sierra and Savanna. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, in-laws.
