We bid farewell to John Fitzgerald of Fort Wayne, Indiana, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 25, 2025 at the age of 76. John touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his mother Naomi Ruth Mundy Knight; his stepfather Lawrence J. Warren; his father John E. Fitzgerald; his grandparents, Nihl Mundy and Gertrude Mundy; and his brother Nihl Allen Warren.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Fitzgerald; his children, Robert Fitzgerald and Jennifer Hicks; his son-in-law Ryan Hicks; his daughter Rebecca Stephens; his sisters, Sharon Dull, Deborah Warren and Lori Templeton; his grandchildren, Justin, Nicholas, Devin, Gabriel, Lilliana and Jadis; his nephew James; and his nieces, Tiffany and Rachelle.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the St. Joseph United Methodist Church (6004 Reed Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46835). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Jordan Cemetery (E 400 N, Fremont, IN 46737).
