With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joe McKibben of Fort Wayne, Indiana, born in Yorktown, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 26, 2024 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary McKibben and Haroz; and his daughter Tiffany McKibben. He is survived by: his wife Sharon McKibben (Maher); his children, Meg McKibben (David Fidler II) and Patrick McKibben; his grandchildren, Gabrielle Snyder (Austin), Emma McKibben, Lacey McKibben, Jillian McKibben and Joey McKibben; his great grandchild A. J. Snyder of Fort Wayne; and his siblings, David McKibben of Dunedin, FL, Alan McKibben (Kate) of Indianapolis and Pam Fackler of Fort Wayne.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Divine Mercy Funeral Home - Fort Wayne (3500 Lake Ave, Fort Wayne, IN 46805). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
Joe was active in his community by being a founding member of the Junior Achievement of Northern Indiana's Grand Prix, and he enjoyed providing meals for Hope's Harbor, which was just one of the many places he chose to donate his time to.
