He was predeceased by: his parents, John Raymond Elder and Mary Victoria Elder; his siblings, Edna Johnson, Frances Bloodgood, Dorothy Neukam, Sue, John Kenneth Elder, Thomas Elder and Joyce Morgan; and the mother of his children Barbara Clifton.
He is survived by: his children, Chad Elder (Tracy) and Mary Romain (Jason); his grandchildren, Brianna, Maya, Nora, Chad Jr., Nadine, Isaac, Addison, Isabella, Hailey and Stella; and his great grandchildren, Bobby, Harper and Henry.
