With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jerry Allen Hanthorne of Fort Wayne, Indiana, born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, who passed away on March 25, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Hanthorne and Clare Hanthorne; his wife Cynthia Hanthorne; his daughter Denise Lampkins; his grandson Austin McCann; and his sister Joy Schieferstein.
He is survived by: his pet Jim; his daughters, Fab, Tamarra Fry-Romines (James), Mishelle Meyer (Kent), Melissa Madden (Matthew) and Angela Lichtsinn (Chad); his son-in-law David Lampkins; his grandchildren, Jessica Cassady (Matthew), Brandy Lampkins, Patrick Ryan (Brooke), Jacob Ryan (Megan), Jeri Crise (Timothy), Kadi McCaig (David), Bobby Madden, Ashlee Madden, Timothy Bernardin, Shelby Hammons (Shane), Jayci Slate (Dillon), Dalton McCann and Spencer McCann; and his great grandchildren, Seth Hanthorne, Cody Haire, Addyson Ardhuerumly, Aeiden Patton, Reese Ardhuerumly, Phoenix Ryan, Adysen Patton, Dilynn Crise, Ashtyn Madden, Sullivan Ryan, Kallie Gillespie, Sophia Bernardin, Colton Cassady, Maggie Crise, Makenna Ryan, Bronson Hammons, Westerly Ryan, Quinn Ryan, Grayson Crise, Elijah McCann, Kylee Madden, Jasper McCann, Carter McCann, Dawson Hammons and Revery Slate.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the D. O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Lakeside Park (1140 Lake Ave, Fort Wayne, IN 46805). A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
