With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jerome R. Batchelder of Fort Wayne, Indiana, who passed away on October 2, 2021 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse J Batchelder and Lucile K Batchelder; his son Daniel M Baliles; his daughter-in-law Nancy Batchelder; his brother James B Batchelder; and his siblings-in-law, Patricia Batchelder and Arlin Filler.

He is survived by: his wife Norma Batchelder; his children, Diann Everitt (Thomas), Debra Ann Williamson (Ronnie), Rebecca A Hohenstein (Dave), Gerald M Jeffery (Karen), Sherry S Benevrich (Ed), Danny J Batchelder (Lisa) and Rita R Dunten (Bill); and his siblings, Marclyn Filler, Patricia Foote (Robert), Larry Batchelder, John Batchelder (Carolyn) and Steve Batchelder. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be given to Suburban Bethlehem Lutheran Church and School.

We saw each other a few times after and he looked me up after I Moved to the Fremont area and we got together again. My deepest sympathy to the family . I will miss him. Dick Ummel. Fremont”
