He was predeceased by: his parents, James Elmore and Geneva Little; his stepfather Tommy Little; his siblings, Elayne Brabson and Neil Brabson; his granddaughter Shanteae Breann Sanders; his great grandchild Beatrice Smith; and his nephew Sean Brabson.
He is survived by: his wife Genois Brabson of Fort Wayne; his children, Natasha Stevens (Roosevelt Tubbs Jr.), Sherece Henry, Shandareen L. Sanders, James E. Brabson Jr., April Ware (Kevin Roberson), DeLawrence Brabson, Shemika Brabson, Sabrina Brabson, Marcus Brabson, Deon Brabson and DaJwan Ware; his stepson Marlin Adams; and his siblings, Gary Brabson (Mary) and Carol Martin. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
