He was predeceased by: his daughter Jeanie; and his parents, Pauline Dunton and Rex Carey. He is survived by: his wife Susie; his daughters, Lorena Uplinger (Ron) and Kassie Fisher (Chris); and his grandchildren, Rick, Ryan, Sara, Amy, Tyler and Landen.

Memorials may be made to Broadway Christian Church or the Salvation Army.
