With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Jack DeWitt of Fort Wayne, Indiana, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Jack left this world on April 18, 2025 at the age of 93, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dennis Marlo DeWitt and Ruth Hollingsworth DeWitt; and his brothers, Bruce DeWitt and Mike DeWitt. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Sue DeWitt (Aaron); his children, Dustin (Michelle DeWitt), Derrick (Susan DeWitt), Darbin DeWitt of Memphis, Tennessee. and Diedra DeWitt of Fayette; his stepchildren, Mike Knake of Tennessee, Doug (Diane Knake), Scott (Paula Knake) and Kimberly (Jeff Sumwalt); and his sister Barbara Tressy of Buffalo. He is also survived by 7 step-grandchildren, 16 step-great grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Marion Va Hospital Chapel Hospital Chapel (1700 E 38th St, Marion, IN 46953). The military honors will be held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Marion National Cemetery (1700 E 38th St, Marion, IN 46953).
