It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Herbert Ralph Chandler (Fort Wayne, Indiana), born in New Haven, Indiana, who passed away on August 18, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Chandler and Thelma Chandler; his wife Joy Chandler; his son-in-law Mario Valadez; his brothers, Donald, Gordon and Michael Chandler; and his brother-in-law Ralph Weller.

He is survived by: his children, Rita Richter (Roger) of Mascoutah, IL, Karen Cunningham (Butch Schmid) of Fort Wayne, Susan Valadez of Fort Wayne, Sandra Chandler of Fort Wayne, Brenda Chandler of Fort Wayne, James Chandler of Fort Wayne and David Chandler (Julie Shovlin) of Fort Wayne; and his sister Marian Weller. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church or Parkview Home, Health, and Hospice.
