He was predeceased by: his father Johnnie Burt; his daughter Tanika Burt; and his brothers, Larry Burt (Bubba), Reginald Burt (Reggie) and Terry Burt (Pop).
He is survived by: his children, Nicole Parks, Shamya Burt, Keyonda Bond (Kristopher), Sharita Sims and Jamarcus Sims; his mother Virginia Burt Taylor (Williams); his siblings, Willie Dean Wyatt (Elbert), Dr. John Burt Jr. (Cynthia), Sharon Burt, Anthony Burt (Frances) and Gary Burt; and his niece Monika Burt. He is also survived by 12 grand children and 4 great grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and lifelong friends.
