He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Ferris and Doyne Ferris; and his brothers, Steve Ferris and David Ferris. He is survived by: his wife Cassandra; his sons, Scott Ferris and Michael Ferris (Crystal); his grandchildren, Gatlin, Cadence and Carson; his sisters, Kathy Wetmore (Joe) and Christina Ferris; his stepson Dr. Kevin Bower (Amy); and his stepgranddaughters, Grace and Rose. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
