We are sad to announce that on September 30, 2023, at the age of 78, Galen E. Dettmer of Fort Wayne, Indiana, born in Yoder, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Elvis Dettmer and Esther Dettmer (Meyer); his former wife Donna Dettmer (Eaken); his wife Joyce Dettmer; his sister Sadonna Ake; and his brother-in-law Stephen Branstrator.

He is survived by: his children, Trena and Mark Dettmer; his grandchildren, Nickolas Parker (Morgan), Austin Dettmer, Brandon Parker and Mallory Dettmer; and his sister Charlene Branstrator.
