He was predeceased by: his parents, L. L. "Chuck" Gentry and Virginia Gentry (Cripe); and his brother David Gentry. He is survived by: his wife Wanda Gentry; his children, Leslie Ricci (Corrado) and Kelly Fridrich (Chuck); his stepsons, Matthew Reichenbacher (Nichole) and Joshua Hahn (Meghan); and his siblings, Paul Gentry (Julie) and Ginger Sayre. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Fort Wayne Rescue Mission or Fort Wayne Animal Care & Control.
