It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edythe Lavern Vibbert (Fort Wayne, Indiana), who passed away on January 10, 2025, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Clyde Vibbert; her son-in-law Clayton Turner Jr.; and her grandson Clayton Turner III. She is survived by: her sister Gladys Witt of Greeley, Colorado; her daughters, Judy Turner and Jeanne Alcorn (Jim) of Fort Wayne; her grandchildren, James "Jimmy" Alcorn (Michelle) of Indianapolis and April Busse (Todd) of Decatur, Indiana; her great grandchildren, Autumn "Amber" Shatto (Steve), Clayton "Brian" Turner, Allison Haywood (Demaury), Brandon Alcorn (Rachel), Amanda Alcorn, Mallory Alcorn, Lance Busse (Jeni), Adam Busse and Lexi Busse; and her close friend John (Curry). She is also survived by 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services (6557 N Clinton St, Fort Wayne, IN 46825). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Covington Memorial Gardens (8408 Covington Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46804).
