She was predeceased by: her parents, Aaron Soellinger and Ruth Soellinger (Mountz); her husband Richard L. Ernst of Bluffton, IN; her siblings, Ruth Richardson (Delmar), Jane Cass (Don), Margaret Border and Carl Soellinger; her stepdaughter-in-law Deborah Maxey; and her grandsons, James Clark and Richard Gibson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Judy Gibson (Philip) of Seminole, FL., Jo Ella Schwartz (David) of Syracuse, IN. and Esther "Rusty" Dailey (Dennis) of Bluffton; her stepsons, Robert Maxey (Jane) of Ohio, John Maxey (Judy) of Ohio, David Maxey (Joyce) of Ohio and Stephen Maxey of Ohio; and her grandchildren, Kay Sanxter (Kent), Matthew Schwartz (Sarah), William Schwartz, Rebecca Schwartz, Kimberly Todd (Matthew), Tisha Brady (Matthew) and Robin Foy (Stan). She is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Lemler Funeral Home (308 W Washington St, Bluffton, IN 46714). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lake James Christian Camp, Angola, IN or to Christian Care Retirement Community.
