We are sad to announce that on June 9, 2023, at the age of 89, Dorothy A. Carpenter of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward J. Sullivan and Ethel F. Sullivan (Harbor); her husband Richard "Dick" Carpenter; her foster daughter Mary North Robison; her siblings, Robert Sullivan and Mary Jane Oakes; her grandson Richard Teders; and her great grandchild Wynter Teders.

She is survived by: her children, Theresa Ann Teders, Erin Colleen Hazelett, Michael Edward Carpenter, Carma Marie MacPherson (Charles) and Patrick Joseph Carpenter (Amy); and her foster children, Thomasine Doherman, Christine Keener (Derrick) and Lynette Bohnstedt. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be directed to the Ave Maria House or Saint Mary' s Soup Kitchen.

She had a heart of gold and was the most giving woman you would ever meet. I learned a lot and grew in my faith for having my friendship with Dottie. I”
