She was predeceased by: her parents, Everett Dowden and Leona Dowden (Kleist); her spouse Dale Poling; and her brother Jerry Dowden. She is survived by: her children, Chris Poling of Fort Wayne, Jim Poling (Beth) of Fort Wayne, Terry Poling of Fort Wayne and Roxanna Tuttle of Fort Wayne; and her grandchildren, Jeff, Ashley and Erin.
Preferred memorials may be made in memory of Doris to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Riley Children's Hospital.
