She was predeceased by: her parents, Daltie Maggert and Lois I. Maggert; her husband Ronald L Baxter Sr.; her daughter Cherrie Ann Penrod; her grandson Michael John Schladenhauffen; and her siblings, Bud Maggart, Wanda L Armantrout, John Maggart and Norman Maggert.

She is survived by: her children, Diane "Dee" Smith (David W.) of Columbia City, IN, Tamra Baxter of Fort Wayne, IN, Ronald Baxter Jr. of Fort Wayne, IN and Bruce L. Baxter of Fort Wayne, IN; her sisters, Venita Hall of Bluffton, IN, Elaine J. Hamman of Ossian, IN and Eva Carnall of Ossian, IN; and her grandchildren, Owen Maxwell Baxter, Jamie Nichole Baxter, Patrick James Klingerman, Seth Silance, Corey Baxter, Kayla Caudill and Kassandra Baxter. She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren and 1 great great, granddaughter.
