It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald G. Dean (Fort Wayne, Indiana), who passed away on December 31, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Dean and Edna Dean (White); his former wife Loretta Dean; his wife Joan Dean; and his sister Donna Tucker.

He is survived by: his children, Julia "Julie" Gaff, Patricia "Patty" Apple (Roger), Donald Dean II (Sara) and Steven Dean; his stepchildren, Brenda Anderson, Deb Kage, Sue Snyder (Kim), Marvin Bowman (Linda), Rita Odquist (Robert) and Kelley Bowman-Smith (Roger); and his sister Joan Kitzmiller (Paul). He is also survived by nine grandchildren; thirteen step grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and twelve step great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association.
