He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Coplen and H. Faye Coplen (Lambert); his sister Karen Kilpatrick; and his brother-in-law Richard Crandall. He is survived by: his wife Rosalie of New Haven; his daughter Heather Y. Smith; his grandchildren, Hannah of Fort Wayne and Colton of Fort Wayne; his sister Catherine Crandall of Cumming, GA; and his brother-in-law Fred Kilpatrick of Fort Wayne. He is also survived by two nieces; and longtime loving friends.
