She was predeceased by: her parents, Everett Whisman and Lennie Whisman (Hobbs); her husband Harry Farrer; and her siblings, Meredith Whisman and Evelyn Rice.

She is survived by: her children, Robert Farrer (Rebecca) of Ft. Wayne, Susan Jones (John) of El Cantro, California and Daniel Farrer of Decatur, Illinois; and her siblings, James Whisman (Betty) of Rose Hill and Mildred Corey of Columbia, Tennessee.. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Johnson University.
