He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Whitaker and Pauline Whitaker; his wife Rosemary Whitaker; his former wife Sharon Whitaker; and his brother Cecil L. Whitaker.
He is survived by: his children, Cheri M. Whitaker, Bruce D. Whitaker and Charles'Chuck'H. Whitaker III (Judy); his grandchildren, Josh Geise, Daniel Gebhart, Tyler Whitaker, Daniel Whitaker, Samantha Claymiller, Camielle Gebhart, Jessica Goodpaster and Sarah Whitaker; and his sister Donna Yoder (David). He is also survived by many great grandchildren.
A rosary was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the Divine Mercy Funeral Home (3500 Lake Ave, Fort Wayne, IN 46805). Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Catholic Cemetery (3500 Lake Ave, Fort Wayne, IN 46805).
