She was predeceased by: her parents, John Gater and Mildred Gater; and her sister Virginia Ladd. She is survived by: her sister-in-law Shirley Casterline. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Memorial donations in Carolyn's honor may be directed to Parkview Hospice.
