She was predeceased by: her parents, Ivy Townsend (Simpson) and Willie G. Townsend; and her siblings, William Molton, Jr., Milton Townsend and Beverly Jones.

She is survived by: her son Donta Townsend; and her siblings, Curtis Molton, Robert Townsend, Tom Townsend, Lavon Townsend, Earl Townsend, Frances Flowers, Monica Thomas, Noel Jones, Charlene Haith (Brock) and Aleatha Townsend. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
