He was predeceased by: his parents, Ned Swihart and Bertha Swihart; his wife Melissa Ann Swihart; his brothers, Kermit and Kent Swihart; and his brother-in-law Norm Keller.
He is survived by: his children, Pam Swihart of Fort Wayne, IN, Greg Swihart of Arcola, IN and Steve Swihart of Fort Wayne, IN; his grandchildren, Amanda Swihart, Chad Swihart, Danelle Bright (Bruce) and Grant Swihart; his sister Linda Keller; and his sister-in-law Phyllis Swihart. He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the D. O. McComb and Sons Funeral Homes - Covington Knolls (8325 Covington Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46804). A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
