Betty J. Rykard Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 16, 2025, at the age of 91, Betty J. Rykard of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Otis Buttery and Maggie Gable (Woodward); her husband James; her sons, Mark and Sam; and her siblings, Alice Farmer, Barb Osgood and Robert Buttery.
She is survived by: her children, Vance Rykard (Bobbi) and Sharon Kay Roller (Cleat); her grandchildren, James Eric Roller (Hannah), Heather Pettyjohn, Josh Rykard (Jennifer), Jami Hall (Matt), Kristen Turney, Jennifer Hartman (Steve), Brad Roller (Becky), Luke Rykard and Sammy Rykard (Madison); and her great grandchildren, Zac, Hunter, Weston, Gus, Alec, Tallyn, Aidyn, Ben, Kate, Kamryn, Kyler, Jayla, Bailey, Hannah, Ian, Lukas, Mariah, Beckett, Emmett, Aurora, Otto, Khari and Leilannee.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hockemeyer and Miller Funeral Home (6131 St Joe Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46835). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association.
