He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Whittington and Charlotte Whittington (Larowe) of Fort Wayne; his siblings, Beth Ann Gross of Auburn, Kari Whittington of Jacksonville and Tony Darling of Fort Wayne; his uncle Hoppy; his brother Brent; and his brother-in-law Gene Gross.
