It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Barbara Helen Downing (Fort Wayne, Indiana), born in Lafayette, Indiana, who passed away on November 20, 2023, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerald Habben and Mildred Evelyn Habben (Hendryx); her husband J. Frank Downing; and her siblings, David Habben and LaVaughn Homrig.
She is survived by: her daughters, Anita Reinbold (David), Lynette Downing and Maribeth Smith (Larry); and her brother Richard Habben. She is also survived by five grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
