Higgins; his wife Deshannon Sheffield; his children, Shannon Murphy, Jamarcus Sheffield and Breylin Sheffield; his grandchild Brooklynn Sheffield; his stepmother Kim Nellems; and his siblings, Danny Nellems (Paulette), Johnny Nellems Jr., Vernon Nellems, Marcus Nellems (Whitney), Bryan Nellems, Keith Holman, Valerie Higgins and Johnah Nellems. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and dear friends.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Deliverance Tabernacle Holiness Church (2502 Fairfield Ave, Fort Wayne, IN 46807). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
