Allie Collins Obituary
Allie B. Glaspie Collins, lovingly known as,"Bea" was born in Braggadocio, Missouri on April 8, 1951 to the late Robert and Minnie (Thornton) Glaspie. She transitioned this life peacefully at home on Friday, December 3, 2021, at the age of 70.
Bea accepted Christ at an early age and joined Tabernacle Baptist Church under the leadership of the Late Rev. Calvin Perry, Sr. She later reinstated her membership under the leadership of Rev. Gonzalee Martin.
She attended Central High School where she met then later married the love of her life, the late Jesse Collins Sr. with this union came three children. Bea was a hard worker as well as a woman of numerous talents.
She was employed at Magnavox for 10 years. While working she attended cosmetology and tailoring school. Bea was a beautician, seamstress and co-owner of Collins Lounge for many years. Later she received an Associate of Science degree from Independence Community College in Independence, Kansas.
She enjoyed decorating, cooking and spending time with her family. Bea had the most welcoming spirit. To know her was to love her. She was a kind, loving and soft spoken woman with a big heart. Bea was always willing to share her words of wisdom and encouragement. She would consistently encourage her children and grandchildren to do their best. Bea was always there to help celebrate each accomplishment and her presence will truly be missed.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories, one daughter, TaRonda Collins Goode; two sons, Jesse Collins Jr. and Jovon "Silk" Collins; sister, Carolyn (Ronnie) Ward; sisters-in-law, Lydia (Robert) Kizer and Dorothy Morris; brother, Anthony Glaspie; brother-in-law, Johnnie (Simone) Collins; daughter-in-law, Juanita Collins; son-in-law, Eric Goode; an aunt, Alice Thornton; 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, a host of other relatives, family and friends.
Bea was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Minnie Glaspie; husband, Jesse Collins Sr.; mother-in-law, Pearline Collins; grandmothers, Gladys Woodard and Irene Beverly; sisters, Rosie Dies, Mary and Marcie Glaspie; brothers, Robert, Earl, Bobby and Darnell Glaspie; brothers-in-law, James and Jeffrey Collins; nieces, Sherry Glaspie and Tawonda Ellis and nephews, Tyler Ward, Quinton Levett and Jermaine Foster.
