He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert N. Hepler Jr. and Dorothy J. Hepler (Malmberg); his wife Dolores J. Hepler (Hanson); and his brother Robert J. Hepler. He is survived by: his brother William Hepler (Jennifer) of Athens; and his nieces and nephews, Karen Cluver (Joel) of Latham, IL, John Turner (Pat) of Flower Mound, TX, Albert Hepler of Allen Town, PA, Todd Hepler (Christine) of Fort Wayne, IN and Judy Grozier of Nokomis, FL.
