He was predeceased by: his father Panfilo Mata; and his siblings, Dolores "Lolly" Mata and Guadalupe Mata. He is survived by: his mother Benita Mata (Roman) of Decatur; his daughter Bianca Cummins (Mike) of Noblesville; his grandsons, Samuel and Jackson Cummins; and his siblings, Frank Mata of Michigan, Panfilo Mata Jr. of Ohio, Juan Mata of Michigan, Roberto Mata of Ohio, Danny Mata of Fort Wayne, George Mata (Gail) of Avon, Anna Gase of Decatur and Marianne Langston (Scott) of Fort Wayne.
