It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Adam Schmitt of Fort Wayne, Indiana, who passed away on November 4, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Adam Schmitt to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Adam Schmitt of Fort Wayne and Henrietta Schmitt (Wyss); his sister Mary A. Steinacker; and his niece Angela C. "Angie" Rectanus. He is survived by: his sister Joan May of Cincinnati, OH; his niece Mary A. Cork (Dirk) of Cincinnati; and his nephews, John May (Kathi) of Auburn, George Steinacker (Teresa) of St. Louis, MO, Jeffery Steinacker (Maureen) of Mason, OH, Stephen Steinacker (Cathi) of Indianapolis, Andrew Steinacker (Tammy) of Fort Wayne and Anthony Steinacker of Huntington.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A rosary was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 2:00 PM and at 3:30 PM. A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Peter Catholic Church (518 E Dewald St, Fort Wayne, IN 46803).
