He was predeceased by: his son Brian Scott Garrett. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Garrett; and his children, Cruzan Kissel (Roy) of Norris City, IL and Sterling Broc Garrett (Karen) of Fort Branch, IN. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Honor Flight of Southern Indiana.
