Rita Barton Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita Barton (Fort Branch, Indiana), born in Patoka, Indiana, who passed away on February 25, 2020, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Shirley "Dutch" and Augusta "Gussie" Sturgeon (Hoover); her husband Edwin L. Barton; and her brother Mike Sturgeon. She is survived by: her children, Jeff Barton (Teresa) of Princeton, Tracy Barton (Krista) of Fort Branch and Stephen Barton (Darla) of Fort Branch; her grandchildren, Whitney Fonte (Ryan), Haley Tourney (Andrew), Jacob Barton, Jozie Barton and Lora Barton (Caleb Ziliak); her great grandchildren, Taylor, Parks and Jenna Fonte; her mother-in-law Bonnie Barton of Princeton; her sister Diane Deputy (James) of Florida; and her sister-in-law Camille Caldemeyer (Leo). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
