She was predeceased by: her father Millard Lewis; her husband Alva Shanks; and her brother Tommy Lewis, Sr. (Betty). She is survived by: her pet Rocko; her children, Kimmie Stratman of Fort Branch, IN, Stacey Hart (Jim) of Fort Branch, IN and Dawn Hartig of Fort Branch, IN; her siblings, Vickie Spindler (Mike) of Princeton, IN, Terri Hyneman (Russel) of Haubstadt, IN, Larry Neidlinger (Audrey) of Evansville, IN and Fred Lewis (Wanda) of Star, ID; and her sister-in-law Darla J. Lewis of Fort Branch, IN. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
