She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter McCleary and Effie McCleary (Wilson); her husband Robert Elpers; and her sisters, Geraldine Georges Freeman (McCleary), Eileen Volkman (McCreary), Blanche Johnson (McCleary) and Joyce Emge Horn (McCleary).
She is survived by: her daughters, Pamela Betz (James) of Fort Branch, Karen Spartz (Edward) of Montgomery and Nancy Berry (Byron) of League City; her grandchildren, Scott Betz (Laura) of Winston-Salem, Katherine Jones (Steve) of Evansvile Indiana, Jessica Bohrer (Brad), Claire Temple (Betz) of Bloomington, Allison Moore (Spartz) of Carmel and Dr. Bradley Spartz (Jennifer) of The Woodlands; her stepgrandson Matthew Berry (Jennifer) of Raleigh; and her great grandchildren, Will, Kate Betz, Shelby, Cameron, Caroline Jones, Max, Evan, Jack, Blake Bohrer, Veronica, Jerome Tempel, Jacob, Lucas Moore, Sydney, Elaine Spartz, Grant and Claire Berry.
