He was predeceased by: his parents, William A. Tansel and Irma E. Tansel (Dillon); his wives, Diana S. Tansel (Dawson) and Preceding; his son Robert Dale "Bobby" Tansel, Jr.; his sister Cheryl Standeford; and his siblings-in-law, Rick Morris, Donnie Dawson (Sandy), Janet Tansel and Jeanette Reeves.
He is survived by: his daughters, Deanna Tansel Ferguson (Ken Haas) and Teresa Ard; his siblings, Richard Tansel, Marilyn Bowers (Jerry), Virginia Kay Morris, William Tansel (Judy), Sheila Bishop (Eugene), Peggy Watkins (Jim) and Mark Tansel (Regina); his grandchildren, Erik Ferguson (Tammy), Bridgette Weible (Dustin), Branden Doss (Andrea) and Jessica Shadwell (Blake); his great grandchildren, Raelin Ferguson, Zoey Weible, Jada Shadwell, Paizley Weible, Konner Shadwell, Hazel Doss, Benjamin Doss, Parker Doss, Carson Lester and Briksley Lester; his siblings-in-law, Tim Standeford, Wayne Reeves (Jeanette) and Joanie Smith (Jay); his pet Olivia; and his caregiver Tammy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
