She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Orem and Faye Orem (Merrick); her husband William E. Sheffer; and her siblings, Dwight Orem, Joe Orem, Kenneth Orem, Ralph Orem, Ruth Tucker, Donald Orem, Merle Orem and Joyce Adams.
She is survived by: her son Bob Sheffer (Carol); her grandchildren, Bill Sheffer (Shelly), Pam Snyder (Joe) and Heidi Sheffer; her great grandchildren, Asa, Guy, Robbie, Spencer, J. D. and Carley; and her siblings, Vivian Karr and Leon Orem (Julia Ann). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
