It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Preston Light of Forest, Indiana, born in West Liberty, Kentucky, who passed away on September 15, 2024, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ramon O. Light and Annette Gay Light (Lacy); his father-in-law James McCarter Sr.; his brothers-in-law, Daniel Combs and Joe Olson; and his nephews, J. R. Olson and Daniel Premeaux.
He is survived by: his wife Pamela Light (McCarter); his children, Zachary (Amanda) of Frankfort, Nicholas (Kristina) of Frankfort, Jacob (Marlee) of Noblesville and Jessica Light of Frankfort; his grandchildren, Kylie, Macie, Olivia, Samantha and Logan; his mother-in-law Deloris McCarter; his siblings, Mona Combs, Rhonda Light, April Wilson (Glenn), Rhea Harris (David) and John Light; and his siblings-in-law, James McCarter Jr. (Teresa), Fred McCarter, Nancy Olson and Susan McCarter. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with the funeral expenses.
