She was predeceased by: her parents, Maurice F. Abernathey and Blanche Mae Abernathey; her husband William M. Powell; her son Zane B. Powell; and her brother Russell Abernathey.

She is survived by: her children, Gail A. Day (Mike), Deanna J. Powell and William Brian Powell (Carolyn); her daughter-in-law Rebbecca Powell; her grandchildren, Carrie, Heather, Matthew, Justin, Leslie, Jennifer and Jacob; her great grandchildren, Slater, Devin, Josh, Hunter, Madison, Chastin, Kaleb, Kaley, Trinity, Mercy, Eternity, Elijah, Cayden and Easton; and her great great grandchildren, Liam and Landon.
