She was predeceased by: her parents, Grover G. Harney and Gertrude Harney (Moreland); her husband Harold E. Sarles; her children, John Douglas Sarles, Howard Stephen Sarles and Sherry Lynn Owens; and her siblings, John Logan Harney, Grover G. Harney Jr., Arthur Harney, Melvin Lewis, Anna Plunkett, Margaret Early and Bernice Rose.

She is survived by: her children, Paul Stratton Sarles, Michael Stephen Sarles (Robin) and Elizabeth Ann Washer (Grover C.); her grandchildren, Adam Owens (Kerrie), Granville Quentin Sarles (Tony), Bradley Owens (Kelsey), Elora "Lori" Owens, Hank Washer (Jessica) and John Washer (Amy); and her great grandchildren, Quentin, Wren, Skyler, Addyson, Rhett, Hunter and Revan.
