He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Lawrence Schaefer, Sr. and Agnes Schaefer (Blattel). He is survived by: his wife LuAnn F. Harris; his close friend LuAnn F. Schaefer (Harris) of Florence, Indiana; his stepdaughters, Heather Thompson (Jamie) of Murfreesboro, TN and Melissa Gaines (Johnny) of Kelso, Missouri; his stepgrandchildren, Andrea, Alex and Austin; his stepgreat-granddaughter Willow; and his siblings, Carolyn Schaefer of Illinois, Bettina Foster (Randy) of Illinois, Paula Mooney of Illinois, Richard Schaefer (Michelle) of Illinois and Anthony Schaefer (Brenda) of Illinois. He is also survived by his numerous nieces and nephews.
