He was predeceased by: his nephew Michael Veach. He is survived by: his spouse Marcia Vass; his sons, Clint Spencer (Susan Duncan) and Matthew Spencer (Karen Shine); his grandchildren, Cleandrea Williams (Matthew) of Matthew Spencer, Zachary Spencer, Joshua Smith and Kaitie Orr (David); his great grandchildren, Amayah Williams and Emerson Orr; his siblings, Karen Veach (Glen) and John Spencer (Judy); and his siblings-in-law, Edward Vass (Linda) and Hilda Ailor (Ernie). He is also survived by four nephews, one niece, and two cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the donor's charity of choice.
