He was predeceased by: his parents, Pansy Eleanor (Skiles) and Willard Arthur Beam; his wife Margaret Mae Martin; and his siblings, Elizabeth Emig (Kenneth), Leroy Beam (Treva), Maurice Beam (Connie) and Eleanor Garcia (Leo).

He is survived by: his children, Douglas Jay (Shari) of Americus and Kristine Medina (Chris) of Thornton; his grandchildren, Blair Carson, Leah Medina (Sam), Jordan Medina, Tawnie Medina, Elisabeth Oppel (Marshall) and Alex (Janis); and his great grandchildren, James, Cyrus and Guinevere. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions in Eldo's name may be made to the Flora-Monroe Twp.

“He will be highly missed. We met at the Flora public library. We spent many hours putting puzzles together. We would sit in the breezeway enjoying each others company. We would go to Logansport and Lafayette he was so much fun to be with. He enjoyed talking about his children and grandchildren and even his great grandchildren he loved to walk to the library and back home. He enjoyed the author Danielle Steel. I will miss him but I know I will get to see him in heaven.”
