He was predeceased by: his parents, George Emerson and Levona Emerson (Luttrell). He is survived by: his wife Theresa Shadburn; his sons, Jesse Shane Emerson of Indianapolis and Austin O'Neal Emerson of Seymour; and his siblings, Archie Emerson (Linda) of Providence and Sally Byrd of Casey County, Kentucky. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
