He was predeceased by: his parents, John Gregory "Greg" and Genevieve Goessling (Dennis); his son Brian Goessling; his stepmother Geraldine Goessling; and his sisters, Mary Lou Goessling and Sister Genevieve.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Goessling of Mary's Catholic Church; his children, Mark Goessling (Mandy) and Sheri Elfreich (Todd); his grandchildren, Nikki, Sarah, Greg, Samantha, Valerie and Veronica; his great grandchildren, Betty and Lily; and his sisters, Bridget Slatten and Judy Pautler.
In lieu of flowers, the family stated that John would prefer a memorial contribution to be made to the donor's favorite charity.
